even pro pro player doesnt use this technique offen but rafa. i just
watched many ao2012 match, many players still use classic forehand not
rafa’s forehand or across body forehand, they just do common forehand that
end high on left shoulder.
I am 20th in lancashire under 12’s
The follow through is the most important part… and the racket… His
aeroprodrive is amazing for spin too.
wow dude, i actually agree with mostly everything u say in ur videos. we
also have similar style, in swing in grip. i even learned how to play lefty
and swing like nadal, and have to agree with you that at first i didnt hit
the ball in front of me, and i didnt follow through foreward before coming
around the head. but as i wanted to improve the shots pace, i eventually
fixed it. if u followthrough up to early, u not only lose pace, it also
makes it harder for you to hit balls that sit up
this shot reminds me to Kauro Kaidoh
@lockandrolltennis at first i thought it was complete western cuz all the
commentators always say it is, but i dont think so. its slightly semi
western, and he leaves a space between his pointer and middle finger, if
that makes any sense. and i think thats because hes using such a small grip
size for his big hands, that he kinda needa to spread his fingers out to
get a proper gripping on it. by doing this it locks the grip in place, and
allows him to use a smaller grip size to help produce spin
@DerSozialeOeko This adds a little bit of topspin to your shot. I do it all
the time. You don’t need muscles, just develop the right technique and
you’ll get the hang of it. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this kind of shot
unless you want to try something new.
Where do you want the ball to land on your racquet? On the sweet spot?
Can you make a video teaching us how to hit the banana shot? i find it
difficult to learn :(… CHEERS !
is this the same as the snake shot in prince of tennis
what do racket do you recommend ?
TY!
@KiNGKizARU LOL!!
increases the top spin and the ball dives early making more angles
available.
Can U Please check out my videos and maybe give some tips ur videos help me
alot
At first he would use a Western Grip but Vic Braden told Uncle Toni to tell
Nadal to use a Semi Western grip because that would allow him to play
better in hard court.
I have those shoes!!! 🙂
very different. Gerakanmu koyo wayang mas bro.
what is the function of the buggy whip forehand…to get a looping forehand
that bounces high on landing ??….or maybe for a topspin lob ???
What grip does this guy use in the video
Absolutely right what you say when kids try to emulate Rafa´s follow
through: They hit late. At the end the shot is a mess
I would not try learn to hit a forehand like Rafael Nadal because it is
just b”bullshit” it is not that I am thinking Nadal can’ t play tennis but
his forehand just looks too crazy for me this technique should not be the
one of a tennis player because you need quite strong muscles to play a full
match with this kind of forehand
Now… things to add here. 1) His arm fully extends when he gets to the
contact point. 2) His contact point is WWAAAYYY in front of his body. 3)
When swinging, before he moves to the contact point, his racket faces the
ground at about 40º 4) You have to transfer all your weight to the shot,
otherwise you dont get enough power, causing the ball to dive before the
net or short after. 5) He has way more wirst rotation the other players. So
its not just the forehand, its the combination of all this.
Amen lol.
Wow I’ve actually been doing this shot the entire time never really notice
too much tho. SNAKE shot
