World number two and Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal is ready to board the flight to Abu Dhabi and compete in the Mubadala World Tennis Championships, according to his uncle and trainer Toni Nadal. The Spaniard himself posted on his Facebook page that he had a practice session at his home in Manacor and he was looking forward to the tournament, where he has won the last two editions after finishing second in the first installment of the tournament.

According to reports, the training session at home has restored the lost confidence in Nadal before he faces the two big rivals in Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Moreover, the three day exhibition tournament that is slated to begin on the 29th and finishes on New Year’s Eve also hands out a heavy cash incentive for the winner as well. Moreover, reports emerging from Spain as well in the United Arab Emirates reveal that Rafael Nadal is over the shoulder injury that had been bothering for quite some time that had led to the speculation that he will not play again before the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year that starts in a fortnight’s time.

Speaking on behalf of his Nadal, his uncle Toni told reporters that his nephew was fit and fine and was raring to go in search of a good preparation tournament before the Australian Open. According to Toni, Nadal did have a troublesome shoulder injury that had been bothering him before he travelled to London but he was in perfect condition before the Davis Cup tie against Argentina, earlier in the month.

According to Toni, Rafael Nadal has worked his way up to peak fitness and he is ready to face the challenges of The ‘Djoker’ and Fed Express in the exhibition tournament in the desert nation.
